September 26, 2020: Are you up for the ride?
Cancervive Cycle Tour Dates are September 26, 2020, in Osoyoos, BC. On September 24th, 2020, cyclists and volunteers and all required gear including bikes, will be transported to Osoyoos BC in rented vans. We will ride for 4 days on September 25th to the 28th through the beautiful routes in the south Okanagan. Each day, there will be 3 routes for Cyclists to choose from. Routes will range from 60kms to 130kms. You will need a good road bike that fits you well to really enjoy this experience.
September 29th, 2020 we transport everyone back to Calgary. This is the second year in a row we are going to Osoyoos. The fall views, with ripe vineyards and, inviting lake front and friendly locals are so welcoming! There are many fine foods establishments to visit in and around Osoyoos which makes the tour a lot of fun. Vineyards and orchards are in full bloom at this time and usually the weather is still favorable for cycling.
Cancervive Cycle Tour is a life-changing ride in support of those affected by cancer. This annual charity bike ride benefits Wellspring Calgary and Wellspring Edmonton.
The Cancervive Cycle Tour is a fully-supported ride with all nutritious food and beverages provided. Riders and volunteers stay in hotels every night and all meals are included. Support crews and vehicles include a bike mechanic, support vehicles, and volunteers who support the riders and we provide bike transportation.
Cyclists are supported with:
- Coaching, cycling tips, and a training plan
- Training rides in and around Calgary
- A personal page for fundraising
- Information and orientation nights
Training Group rides happen on alternating Wednesday and Thursday nights at 6:30 pm in and around Calgary. They run from May to September up until the week before the Tour.
