Red Deer County Fire
Every year, hundreds of firefighters from around the world climb the stairs of Calgary's BOW tower, one of Western Canada's tallest buildings, in support of firefighters and community members living with cancer. Brave participants start their challenge at 3400 feet above sea level and climb the 775 vertical feet – 1204 steps or 55 floors – of the tower in full duty gear. At a total of 4175 vertical feet, the Calgary, Alberta event is the highest elevation firefighter stairclimb in the world!
This year we are going virtual! our team will do the challenge locally. We will keep you updated with the location, time and date.
As firefighters we are community orienteted people and we support our community in different roles . This fundraiser is a great cause and we want to be a part of it 100%. For some is a personal quest in support of beloved ones fighting cancer.
55 floors in full gear isn't an easy task but it's way more easier than someone fighting cancer. Let's support them and their families.
We would greatly appreciate your help in reaching our fundraising goal. You can make your donation online. Or, you can send your donation by cheque made payable to Wellspring Calgary to the address listed below. Please write the name of the team on the cheque memo line so Wellspring knows your gift is in support of our climb.
